Who are we? Well, that's a great question...
Here at St.John Studioz we aim to design and showcase unique specialty drum kits. We either build our kits from scratch using quality Keller wood shells, or RCI Starlite for precision acrylic shells, or we find vintage kits and give them a facelift, so to speak. You can purchase anything you see on this site, from the kits, to the cymbals, to the hardware, in any combination. Our goal is to provide you with exactly what you need.
St.John Studioz is a fun little workshop nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Why? Well, if you have to ask that, then you've never seen the Blue Ridge Mountains. We adore it here which is why you will find images of the Blue Ridge scattered across our site.
The "we" I speak of consists of my hubby, Noel, and myself, Connie. Hi and welcome to our site. Noel has been playing drums since he was 14, so there's no better person at our helm. I am a graphic designer/artist/wood worker/wanna-be drummer. Maybe some day I'll master it!

Don't see what you are looking for on our site, or have the design for your perfect kit in your mind? Give us a call and we will custom design a kit just for you. We can stain the shells, paint the shells, wrap the shells, or, as you'll see on this site, glue stuff to the shells. We can order you transparent shells and illuminate them from within... you are only limited by your imagination! Have a specific brand of hardware you prefer? No problem! We will do our best to create your dream kit. (Please note: Noel is a Paiste man, so all the cymbals on this site will be Paiste. If you fancy another brand, we will be happy to provide you with any type cymbal your heart desires, although I will have to order them because it might kill Noel.)
What else do we do? Well, not only do we make custom drum kits, we also custom design guitars on our sister site, St.John Designz. Know a guitarist looking for the perfect woman? Send them our way! As with drums, there's not much we can't do with a guitar. My favorite to create, and what we feature, are hand carved guitars, but we can create almost any design you can imagine. Sometimes we come across older guitars and refinish them, but when we build a guitar from scratch, we use Warmoth bodies and necks as they are known for their superior quality.
